Welcome to Theodore Roosevelt High School! Our goal at Theodore Roosevelt High School Career-Technical Education is to equip students for high skill, high wage careers demanded in a competitive economy. Upon completion, students should be prepared to transition to post-secondary education or enter their career field and, in most cases, have obtained college credit. Our teachers have worked diligently to prepare for a school year that will be meaningful and worthwhile in your educational plan. We hope that you, too, will come prepared to begin this school year with enthusiasm and effort to commit to your success. Use the TRHS CTE website (www.rhscte.net), please make sure to join our Twitter or Instagram feed @KentSchoolsCTE for information, pictures of students, and news.

Please complete these Opening of School Steps

  1. Final Forms (Parent & Student): Parents and students will need to set up a Final Forms account for Kent City schools. If you have a Final Forms account for your home school, you still need to create a Kent account. Please go to this address https://kentschools-oh.finalforms.com/ and select a new account. Complete the information as requested. The site will ask for your student’s Kent City School District email address. An email from Final Forms will be sent to your student’s Kent City School District Google email account (set up directions below) to complete the student portion of Kent’s Final Forms.
  2. Gmail and G Suite (Student): Student needs to activate their Kent City School District Gmail account. Directions: Go to Gmail (your student may need to log out of their home school account or select add another account). You will need to completely log out of all other Gmail accounts prior to setting up your new email. This process works best on a laptop or desktop computer, as opposed to a cell phone or iPad. Enter their Kent City School District email address, and initial password.

Contact 330 676-8740 for login information.

Program Formats

All Kent Theodore Roosevelt high school Career Technical Education programs will be in-person. Kent Theodore Roosevelt high school Career Technical Education programs will begin on August 22 (due to construction projects). The first day of Career-Technical programs for all other Six District Educational Compact Career-Technical Education programs is also August 22. You are responsible to attend classes at your home school starting on their opening day.

Please email Brian Bachtel, director of Career-Technical Education at [email protected] if you have any questions or contact the Theodore Roosevelt Career-Technical Education office at (330) 676-8742 for personal service. The Kent calendar and important forms can be found under the Forms tab of our website https://rhscte.net/resources.

You are responsible to attend classes at your home school starting on their opening day. If you will be riding the bus to TRHS for your Career-Technical Program, please check with your home school Guidance Department or Transportation Department. They will provide the location and time that the bus will be leaving your school to bring you to TRHS. Students may drive to Theodore Roosevelt high school and will need to complete a Six District Transportation form (stop into office 171 at TRHS). Please be aware that we are experiencing parking lot closures due to construction. I highly recommend students carpool and plan to arrive early.

If you are in a program with a fee, an invoice will be sent home prior to the end of September from our Cashier’s office. Fee payment plans are available for those who would prefer to make monthly or quarterly payments. Students eligible for free lunch must complete a Kent fee waiver form available in our cashier’s office to have their fees waived. Please take care of this as soon as you receive the invoice from us.

If you have any questions or need further clarification, don't hesitate to contact Brian Bachtel, Director of Career Technical Education at [email protected] or call the Kent Career Technical Education office at 330 676-8742.

We look forward to working with you!

Brian Bachtel
